Get Involved!
There are three ways you can get involved with the
CVC Repair Café
Participate
Bring your broken stuff and we’ll try to fix it! Learn how to use tools and increase your confidence in DIY. Our monthly events will be supplemented by various workshops in tool usage, electronics, wood working, plastics, etc.
Volunteer
Volunteers are always welcome. Whether you have DIY skills, woodwork skills, or would like to ‘meet and greet’ we’re sure to be able to find a role for you. You don’t have to commit to every month, the occasional help is always welcome!
Whatever appeals to you, engaging with the Repair Café is a fun, social and hugely enjoyable experience and a great way to make new friends. We also provide you with as many drinks and tasty treats as you can manage!
If you’d like to find out more, email us - or just come along to one of our monthly sessions and have a chat. You’ll be made to feel very welcome and we always allocate you a ‘minder’ at your first session so you can be shown the ropes.
If you’d like to join the team, you can complete our volunteer form and a member of our team will be in touch!
Collaborate
Here at the CVC Repair Café we are committed to spreading repair culture to other communities and appreciate the benefits of connecting with other organisations. Contact us if you are interested in collaborating on a project or learning more about how to start your own repair café in your area. We want to share the impact that waste has on the environment and how repairing can be a fun solution to this.
